Why Master Hand Construction Services

Your remodel shouldn’t become your second job.

A remodeling project can involve construction, plumbing, electrical work, layouts, fixtures, materials and dozens of decisions that affect one another. When those pieces are treated as separate jobs, the homeowner often becomes the person connecting them.

Master Hand Construction Services is built differently. Our construction, plumbing, electrical and design expertise stay part of the same conversation, so decisions are made around the project as a whole.

One connected teamLess passing the project from one unrelated trade to another. The people involved understand what the other parts of the job need.
Better-informed decisionsA layout doesn’t exist separately from plumbing. Lighting doesn’t exist separately from electrical. Materials don’t exist separately from budget. We look at those decisions together.
Communication that keeps you involvedYou should be able to ask questions, understand why a decision matters and know what happens next.
A personal connection, start to finishOur team stays involved from planning through completion, with a trusted team member coordinating the work and keeping you informed.

Our story

A family-owned contractor with decades of hands‑on experience.

Craftsmanship shaped in Central New York. A family business built in Tennessee.

Master Hand Construction Services is a family-owned company. It is run by Dan and Crystal LeClair, and it is built around a straightforward idea: do good work, communicate clearly, and build relationships that last beyond one project.

Everything started when Dan learned the trades in Central New York alongside his grandfather, a home builder and cabinet maker. He started his first construction business at 18 and built his career around craftsmanship, problem-solving, and helping clients understand what was happening in their homes.

Crystal has been seeing spaces differently since she was a child, making mood boards and reimagining rooms long before she could build any of it. Her interest in design grew alongside an interest in what sits behind the walls, and years in real estate taught her how people actually use a home and what a renovation does to its value. In the company routine, she works alongside him in the management of the company, project development, client experience, and design.

Together, they stay closely connected to the projects Master Hand Construction Services takes on, and the company is small and family-owned by choice. Clients are not passed from department to department. The people you meet are the people invested in the project, the workmanship, and the reputation attached to the name.

Working with us

The remodeling process, and what you should know at each stage.

Construction affects your everyday life. We don’t believe pretending otherwise makes the process easier.

Questions come up. Decisions change. Unexpected conditions can be discovered once work begins. What matters is having people you can talk to when they do.

Our role isn’t simply to complete a list of tasks. It’s to help you understand the decisions in front of you, coordinate the work involved and keep the project moving with you, not around you.

Questions

Common questions about remodeling with Master Hand Construction Services

If your question is not answered here, call and ask it. We would rather spend ten minutes on the phone now than have you find the answer out halfway through the project.

What kinds of remodeling projects does Master Hand Construction Services take on?+

We focus on existing homes: kitchen and bathroom remodeling, basement finishing, interior renovations, repairs, residential improvements and other remodeling projects. We are not primarily a new custom-home builder.

Can you handle plumbing and electrical work during a remodel?+

Master Hand Construction Services has licensed construction, plumbing and electrical expertise within the team, which allows those parts of a remodeling project to be coordinated together rather than treated as unrelated jobs.

Can you help with design and materials?+

Yes. We can help clients think through layouts, materials, finishes, colors and fixtures while considering both how the space should look and how it needs to be built.

Do I need to have everything figured out before I contact you?+

No. If you know what isn’t working or what you want to change, that’s enough to start a conversation. Part of our role is helping clients work through the decisions involved in remodeling.

How much does a kitchen or bathroom remodel cost in Knoxville?+

Remodeling costs vary with the scope, materials, and existing conditions. We’ll discuss your budget, explain what it can cover, and help you understand how custom finishes or changes to plumbing, electrical, and layout affect the overall cost.

What types of projects does a general contractor handle?+

A general contractor takes responsibility for a construction project as a whole rather than for one trade within it, which means planning the work, coordinating the trades involved, pulling permits, managing the schedule and answering for the finished result. For Master Hand Construction Services that covers kitchen and bathroom remodeling, basement finishing, home additions, interior renovations, structural repairs and smaller residential improvements.

Does Master Hand Construction Services handle both remodeling and home repairs?+

Yes, and the two often arrive together. A bathroom remodel can uncover a rot problem, and a repair call can turn into a renovation once the homeowner sees what is possible. Because we do both, you do not have to hand the project to somebody else halfway through.

Do you subcontract your remodeling work?+

We coordinate the construction, plumbing, and electrical work included in your project. When specialist contractors are involved, a trusted member of our team is on site to supervise the work and coordinate the project.

What licensing and insurance documentation can I review?+

Our team holds Tennessee general contractor, plumbing, and electrical licenses. We require the independent contractors we work with to carry their own insurance. Contact our team to review the licensing and insurance documentation relevant to your project.

Do you take smaller construction projects?+

Yes. A project does not become unimportant because the scope is smaller. Smaller repairs and improvements receive the same planning, workmanship and communication as larger renovations, and we say that plainly because many contractors will not return the call on a small job.

What areas around Knoxville do you serve?+

We serve Knoxville and nearby communities, including Oak Ridge, Farragut, Clinton, Maryville, Hardin Valley, Lenoir City, Harriman, Kingston, Alcoa, and Greenback. Share your project location so we can confirm availability for the work you have in mind.
